    Terrific age-appropriate activities for kids!

We purchased two Creative Kit subscriptions for our 7-year old twins for Christmas and, boy, do they love them! They are thrilled when their CrunchLabs delivery arrives and can't wait to open and begin assembling. The projects are challenging - requiring attention to directions - but absolutely do-able for elementary age kids with some adult support nearby. Our girls are so proud of themselves when they finish their kit and spend hours playing together with their new activity.

These STEM/Engineering-focused projects are exactly what we needed... a move away from the same old "toys" and something they can really dive into, build, to discover a love of making/prototyping. Best find I've had in years. We've shared our high praise for these activities with many friends who have young kids and they've followed our lead to introduce their own kids to these fun boxed kits.

Fantastic for Building — Even Better with One Simple Storytelling Tip

The building portion of this kit is fantastic — it naturally encourages experimentation, iteration, and collaboration. Our kids (ages 10 and 6) constantly modify and reinterpret what they create, which mirrors the core engineering mindset of prototyping and refining rather than aiming for one final solution.

At first, the storytelling prompts felt a bit “locked in,” and we wondered if we were supposed to follow them exactly. We found creativity really took off once we treated them more loosely. Instead of defining one fixed character or storyline, we introduce changing “conditions” — like “now there’s no gravity” or “now it’s underwater.” The biggest creative moments happen when kids start asking their own “what if” questions while they play.

Overall, it’s a thoughtfully designed product that does an excellent job fostering real creative thinking.

Ella loves playing with this kit from “Mr fixit.”

She has so much fun putting the kits together and playing with the little characters.
