My son has never liked traditional toys, he only likes toys that allow him to build something - so this was right up his alley! He can complete each build using the booklet without much help, I was worried it would be too complicated to build on his own since he's a little young. His grandfather is an aerospace engineer and they've bonded over these little engineered toys - which is such a delightful bonus! We found the toys first but the videos with the engineer guy showing you everything and the You Tube shows are such a great find - my son is now quoting him "that's not a failure, it's a clue", which honestly is my favorite part - something you'd never get from just buying a regular toy. Very happy we got this subscription, every time it arrives the whole family gets excited!

As a veteran of many subscription boxes for kids, the uniqueness of the Build Box is the community that the CrunchLabs team created around them. The fun starts when the box arrives, but does not end when the build is done! The kids enjoy playing together with the built items, discussing the challenges that Mark shares, watching together the videos, etc. The engineering mind set "takes over" their day to day, and not just one hour a month. Additionally, the boxes are really well made, thought though and challenging enough (but doable). CrunchLabs customer service is amazing. I highly recommend getting a subscription today!
